Why Apofen exists

Apofen was founded in 2019 by Mahad Nyende Kirunda to close the gap between global software standards and the realities of African businesses. We build digital systems that work in low-connectivity environments, support multi-branch operations, and scale as organizations grow.

Today Apofen operates as both a software product company and a custom software delivery partner. That means we ship our own operational products while also helping businesses launch new platforms, modernize legacy tools, and apply AI where it creates measurable value.

The company focuses on software that improves the actual movement of work: sales, stock, reporting, service delivery, approvals, communication, and operational decision-making.

The problem we kept seeing: most software sold to African businesses assumes perfect internet, one small shop, and staff with time to fight spreadsheets. Real operations look nothing like that.
